Welcome to Chama Circles (“we”, “our”, “us”). By accessing or using our website (www.chamacircles.com), mobile app, or services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.

1. Overview

Chama Circles is a digital merry-go-round platform that allows users to form or join rotating savings groups (also known as chamas) where members contribute funds regularly, and each member receives the pooled amount on a scheduled rotation.

2. Eligibility

To use Chama Circles, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old;
• Possess a valid national ID or passport;
• Own a mobile phone with mobile money access (e.g., M-Pesa).

3. Account Registration

You must register using accurate details. You’re responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information and any activity under your account.

4. Group Rules and Rotation

• Chamas define their own contribution amount, rotation schedule, and member list.
• Payouts are made in rotation based on the group's agreed order.
• Chama Circles facilitates the schedule but does not interfere with internal group decisions.

5. Payments and Disbursements

• Contributions and payouts are processed via M-Pesa or other supported mobile money platforms.
• Chama Circles is not responsible for delays or failures caused by third-party payment services.

6. Platform Fees

• Platform usage may attract minimal transaction or administrative fees, which will be disclosed upfront.
• We reserve the right to adjust fees with prior notice.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Misrepresent yourself;
• Miss contributions without just cause;
• Use the platform for illegal activities or to defraud other members.

8. Dispute Resolution

Chama Circles is not liable for internal group disputes. However, we may assist in facilitating communication among members if requested. Repeated misconduct may lead to account suspension.

9. Data Privacy

Your personal data is collected and processed in line with our Privacy Policy. By using the platform, you consent to this processing.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms or misuse the platform. Groups may also dissolve voluntarily.

11. Liability Disclaimer

Chama Circles provides facilitation tools only. We are not liable for:

• Group mismanagement;
• Non-payment by members;
• Technical issues caused by mobile networks or third-party services.

12. Amendments

We may revise these Terms from time to time. We’ll notify you of any material changes.
